High School Program
North York Academy offers comprehensive high school courses designed and inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education. North York Academy graduates are awarded the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) by the Ontario Ministry of Education
Summer Program
North York Academy Summer Program offers a wide selection of courses that meet the needs and interest of high school student and has been designed for international high school students wishing to have a short term study experience in Canada. Students have great opportunity to enhance their learning through a short-term credit course.
University Preparation
This program is designed to enhance students’ comprehensive academic performances and skills to meet prerequisites for universities. North York Academy offers a large selection of courses and flexible curriculum schedules for students to satisfy their needs and interests.
IELTS & TOEFL Preparation
Language test is a stepping stone to climb. Early preparations for language tests will benefit students in term of achieving excellent scores, but also help their daily studies. The earlier the preparation, the more benefits. IELTS and TOEFL Preparation classes focus on all modules of the test (reading, writing, listening and speaking) and are intended for students who wish to focus on the skills required to succeed on official English exams. Each intensive lesson focuses on one specific module allowing students to advance to successfully perform on practice tests.
Subject Excellence Class
Senior teachers with master’s degree or above provide systematic tutoring for selected courses and individualized small class teaching. Teachers will evaluate each student, understand the characteristics of each student, formulate a specific improvement plan, and help students achieve by step by step. Subject Excellence Class not only synchronizes the Ministry of Education’s curriculums and teaching materials, but also provides special tutoring before the exam. It also focuses on exploring the potential of students, removing obstacles, improving learning ability and achieving excellence.
